Calling all baseball fans: are you ready for the World Series? In a perfect world, you’d be able to travel between the teams’ fields to see all seven games. With a chartered jet, that dream can become a reality this October!
If you love baseball, nothing fills your heart with more joy than the seven games of the World Series. This year is shaping up to be exciting as we all keep an eye out for the teams that will make it all the way.
When to Go
Traditionally, the World Series is a best-of-seven series, with the American League and National League playoffs leading up to the series. Game 1 of the World Series happens on Tuesday, Oct. 25. Game 7, the last game, happens Nov. 2 if necessary. The schedule for Games 2-6 are Oct. 26, 28, 29, and 30 and Nov. 1. Overall, the games span just a little over a week, which is the best vacation ever for hardcore baseball fans.
The two teams that make it to the series will host the games, with about half scheduled at each field. If you want to travel to both, a private jet is the perfect way to ensure you can fly to both fields in time to see each game.
Who Might Play
As it stands, 10 teams, including four teams competing for two wild-card spots, will be playing in the brackets to reach the World Series. The six teams you should be focusing on right now are the Dodgers, the Cubs, the Red Sox, the Rangers, the Indians, and the Nationals. These top contenders have long histories of greatness in baseball, and seeing a World Series game at any of their fields would be a magical experience indeed.
How to Enjoy the Event
You’ll probably find yourself in at least one of these six teams’ cities when you fly to the World Series later this year.
The Los Angeles Dodgers play in Dodgers Stadium, which is in the center of Elysian Park. You’ll want to visit the Radio Hill Gardens nearby, or play disc golf at the Chavez Ridge Disc Golf Course.
Whether or not you believe the Cubs can win another World Series, you won’t want to miss it if they make it to the final round. They play at Chicago’s famous Wrigley Field. Nearby, you’ll find improv clubs, famous bars, and tons of baseball-themed activities.
Visit Fenway Park to see the Boston Red Sox play. You’ll find lots of popular restaurants nearby, like Bleacher Bar and Cask’n Flagon, perfect for experiencing Boston’s baseball culture.
When you see the Texas Rangers at Global Life Field, in Arlington, Texas, you’ll be right between Dallas and Fort Worth. Arlington has some other fun attractions, including Six Flags over Texas and the International Bowling Museum.
Head to Progressive Field in Cleveland to see the Indians play. You’ll be near downtown Cleveland, so you can explore the Indians’ home turf in between games.
Nationals Park, where the Washington Nationals play, is right near the Anacostia River. Take a few walks along the banks to enjoy Washington’s lovely fall weather.
The World Series is happening soon. Keep an eye on the playoffs so you can make your plans the minute you know which teams are playing!
