Denver, CO –  Mountain Aviation, a nationwide leader in private aircraft charter and aircraft management services was recently awarded a National Business Aviation Association’s Commercial Business Flying Safety Award for 43,295 safe flight hours in conjunction with their 20th anniversary in business.

Founded in 1993 by Rich Bjelkevig following the loss of his job as a pilot when the legacy airline he was employed by went bankrupt, Mountain Aviation has grown to over 100 employees and 20 managed business jets and turbo-props. “Our core ethic – safety, hard work, integrity, and more safety has made achieving this goal possible,” says Rich Bjelkevig, President of Mountain Aviation.

In addition to the Commercial Flying Safety Award, the NBAA also presented Bjelkevig’ s Mountain Aviation with the Corporate Flying Safety Award for service to the many aircraft owners who employee Mountain Aviation to operate their corporate jets.
